0:10 foreign 0:13 [Music] 0:17 I appreciate you uh sharing that because 0:20 that's not only hip-hop history that's 0:22 world history music you know what I'm 0:25 saying um that was one of the biggest 0:26 records but then you went on to work 0:28 with more artists and like you said 0:30 earlier you worked with Tupac he fresh 0:32 out of jail he on death row and you made 0:35 another record that was almost you know 0:37 all eyes on me that I think it's Diamond 0:40 now so 0:42 I mean you know what I'm saying it all 0:44 right well you know it went it sold over 0:46 10 million within a couple of years uh 0:49 you know his first first hip-hop double 0:50 album in history and yeah Tupac had only 0:53 been out of jail probably less than a 0:56 week when we hooked up and you know 0:58 everybody say Park was a workaholic he 1:01 had already done 1:02 25 of US 24 of them songs on that album 1:05 was already done and then you know in 1:08 the first few days I was like man how 1:09 did you get that much done but and then 1:11 we recorded the two songs that uh that I 1:14 did 1:15 Only God can judge me and I'd rather be 1:16 a both them songs in the same day 1:19 uh got both got got those done and uh 1:22 and pretty much I guess one more after 1:23 that that's the 27th 1:27 wow that's amazing so I mean like I said 1:30 I know you don't work with the best of 1:32 the best but I gotta ask you what was it 1:34 like working with Tupac being in the 1:36 studio with him and then obviously you 1:38 know he ended up passing away not too 1:40 long you know after that 1:43 six months later but it was it was a lot 1:45 of fun he was full of energy man one of 1:47 the most energetic 1:49 people I'd ever had uh the pleasure to 1:51 be around and work with positive energy 1:54 uh pop was you know 1:56 he was the type of guy uh where you know 2:00 if he likes you he loved you he was very 2:02 passionate if he didn't like you he 2:04 probably hated you you know what I'm 2:06 saying and uh and that's just how he was 2:09 he's just so super passionate man you 2:11 know and we we bonded you know he wanted 2:14 to uh do his own label he wanted me to 2:16 work for his label we had an agreement 2:19 already wasn't on paper it was just a 2:21 handshake agreement to work with his 2:23 labor it was going to be called 2:24 euthanasia records that's what he told 2:25 me and uh and so he was trying to get 2:28 that going he told me Quincy Jones was 2:31 working with him to help him get his 2:32 label uh up and running uh I found out 2:35 later that he was you know he was in 2:37 fact working with with Quincy and that 2:39 was his label but you know I know she 2:41 was trying to get him to do the death 2:44 row West and I think he ended up kind of 2:46 because of the because of him owing so 2:49 much money 2:50 to death row 2:52 uh you know he ended up saying okay I'm 2:55 gonna do that it just did you know it 2:57 kind of I think he was a little bit 2:58 stuck you know what I mean when you go 3:00 in debt with the label you know you get 3:01 out of jail they dropping all this money 3:03 on you and cars and all this stuff you 3:05 know that that those are gifts those are 3:07 you know that that stuff has to be 3:09 recouped and it's hard you know when you 3:12 don't understand are you excited you 3:14 just trying to run and you moving fast 3:16 it's a lot of money I think he got in a 3:19 situation where he needed to work his 3:21 way out of the deal instead of just 3:23 moving on you know from the deal 3:26 and unfortunately he wound up getting 3:28 killed 3:29 all right right like you say he didn't 3:31 have enough time to even process all of 3:34 that stuff you know we got to see it and 3:35 I played out musically but unfortunately 3:38 you know he passed away
